I cut and prepped the intercooler and took it to K&R in Los Angeles, and he wanted $70 because he said it was gonna take him 3 hours to do it. Must be some sort of retard if he's gonna take 3 hours to cut the 2.25" inlets at an angle and weld them on. Despite my arguing, I couldnt get a better deal; and because I want this done, I'm going to pay... [smilie=banghead.gi:

He should be able to knock them out in 45 minutes but since it's his first one he will take his time... [smilie=bigups.gif]

I wish my neighbors welder was working beter so I could have them do this for me. I try to pay him but he refuses to take my money, so I end up getting him lunch :P too bad you cant solder aluminum too well, i can do that no problem.

the end tanks on our intercoolers is alot thinner than most welders are used to..i agree with kelly after the first one he will knock it out alot faster.
i found a dealer on the net that sales entire custom end tanks that would fit out cores, im digging through "my favorties trying to locate them" they were not very expensive.

I know this one handed welder who will do freaking wonders with Ali, composites, cast steel, etc.
Yes, one hand. But I've seen the guy pull of some crazy shift with broken Ali engine blocks and cast iron as well.
I'm gonna pay him a visit and ask how much...
YES ONE HAND

Kelly has them. He sent me two when I installed a full KDM hard pipe kit.

The stock intercooler pipes are 1.75 most anything else is going to bottle neck at that point.. and with MPI it gives a straighter shot to the TB.
