Man I got the chills from reading that article!! [smilie=biggrin.gif]
Good to see our very own KDM getting recognition for the hard work and meticulous detail that he puts into his builds.
That is definately an awsome KDM rebuild. Glad to see dahman getting some public attention.
Keep up the good work [smilie=thumbsup.gi:

Man I can't believe some people are hating on SQC. Why don't people understand that if you pay someone to work on your car you HAVE TO PAY THEM LABOR!?!?! [smilie=banghead.gi:

Cuz some people are tards and inbred hi...well you get the point.
But you know what. They show their colors and reveal what losers they truly are. KDM has class and won't waste his time debating brainless morons.
Just let em rant on. They got nothing. H A G S! [smilie=bruce_h4h.g:

Yeah man I just can't logically understand how someone can form opinions like that when Kelly and Wally are the ONLY guys that have their Starquest in a magazine. This is going to do nothing but good for the community and people wanna complain and nit pick ****? Come on. Even if it wasn't Kelly that made the car I would have still given up props to the owner and the wrencher. Totally ridiculous.

Yeah, I know. Bugs the shift out of me as well. But look at it this way, those that can do, will. Those that can't, talk shift. Jealousy. period.
Shoot, what they gonna say if you get yours in a mag? "Ohh, 321hp is nothing, my $500 dollar StarQuest will fly by you."
Come on? Its just plain hating.
Say, a TB stock set up in mag is good. Makes room for a monster MPI like yours. [smilie=bruce_h4h.g:

Thanks guys
First off Big Thanks to Walter whom without his dedication and love for the car this would of not been possible..Thanks bro..
Thanks also to Mark aka sidewaystarion for all his encouragement and assistance threw the rebuild process. Thanks Mark
Thanks to Chris Viper for his unrelenting work on the DYNO for without him the car's potentioal in it's current state would not be dependable. Thanks Chris You'r awesome..Here come the 500HP Dyno right????
I read most of the posts on SQC. What they do not know is I did mention Starquest Club in the 8 pages of questions and answers I filled out and emailed them to Walter who turned them into the Editor.
I did notice some typo's and incorrect details in the Article but for the most part RESPECT to the Editor and Modified Magazine for even considering a Conquest for an Article. I also mentioned Ultimate Lurker for his outstanding knowledge of these cars. There I mentioned the Starquest club community was where I built many friendships and started to provided aftermarket parts to the community at large. Not sure why it was not mentioned [smilie=dunno.gif] was not my call [smilie=shrug.gif] .
It's cool tho. I did not expect everyone to accept the outcome for what it is..
But in the long run I hope we the Starquest community will accept any opportunity when given the chance to put all opinions and judgements aside and allow our cars to shine for all of us...Threw and threw...

Thank You very much, I'm glad you like the work and the Conquest in an Article. This is just the beginning. I have an 89 I believe will be in another major magazine soon and Kronus's car is a contender as well
. I'll post some pics of it this weekend of it.. Again Thanks
Kelly

Thanks Richie
I hope to have this 89 in another magazine before the summer, it's completed I just need to install some aftermarket seats and a few KDM stickers.
Mike B is a great writer and will eventually get us in another mag asap. Glad to see you here. I am pretty sure this site will become bigger and better

Kelly. Excellent work man. The car is beautiful. The article is really good too. Even though some things were omitted for whatever reason, I too wonder why some people have to hate on what you do. I thought we were all supposed to be on the side of the Quest. We should rely and use each others knowledge to help and inform each other. But I guess some people are bull-headed and stubborn and will not acknowledge that someone may know as much or MORE than they do. That's pretty stupid. All in all, at least I know where to go to get a CORRECT and HONEST answer to my questions!!!

Hey Kelly, Congratulations on the article. I'm glad you finally got the recognition you have worked for all your life.
Now we need to get one of these nice MPI cars in a mag.

Thanks Ivan
Took 20 years but well worth it.
I am talking with a writer now who is willing to do Kronus's car, actually he contacted me after someone sent him the pictures of Kronus's car. Only thing is the outside paint needs a bit of attention so If Kronus can paint it MAYBE.. now I said MAYBE they will do the article on it in June...He's stated that the engine was the cleanest and most meticulous work on an MPI he had seen. He did say many pictures came into him for review but mine stood out due to the ZINC plating [smilie=bounce.gif] [smilie=bounce.gif] ...
We will see tho if it gets in there... [smilie=bigups.gif] and I will be sure to mention those who deserve credit. [smilie=thumbsup.gi:

That would blow peoples mind! Seriously, they first get introduced to a clean arse stock rebuild. Then, WHAM! they get hit upside the head with KDM's MPI rebuild!
It definately is a super clean MPI job. All that zinc, clean paint and tightly organized electrical work sure makes it stand out above most cars, any cars, starquest or others.

WHAT? Dammit, we need to have a "KR0NUS NEEDS A DAMN PAINT JOB FUND!" I need some help! Well I dunno, I might be taking out a homeowners line of credit soon so maybe and I can get a paintjob. Man that would be great.
Today I had to go to a motorcycle shop to pick up some parts and right when I pulled up 2 guys were like oggling my car. I walked inside and they were all over it so I walked back out and asked do you want to see. One of them had a 87 I believe and when I popped the hood their eyes about fell out. I told the guy to call you Kelly. I forgot his name but he should be calling you soon Kelly saying that I sent him. If he does call give him my number too because I forgot.

Hey, hows that google search thing coming along?
